Al-Ghazali الغزالي

Al-Ghazali is considered to be the 11th century’s mujaddid by many of the Islamic scholars.

Full Name: Abū Ḥāmid Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Ṭūsiyy al-Ghazali.

Arabic: ابو حامد محمد بن محمد الطوسی الغزالی

Other Names: Algazelus or Algazel.

Born: c. 1158.

Died: c. 1111.

Origin: Tus, Iran, Seljuq Empire.

Famous for: Sufism, theology (kalam), philosophy, logic, Sharia, Islamic jurisprudence, Principles of Islamic jurisprudence.

Contributions: 

A total of about 70 works can be attributed to al-Ghazali.
