Full Name: Nur ad-Din al-Bitruji.

Other Names: Alpetragius

Arabic: نور الدين ابن إسحاق البطروجي

Born: 1150 AD.

Died: 1204 AD.

Origin: al-Bitrawsh, a region near Cordoba al-Andalus.

Famous for: Astronomer.

Legacy: The crater Alpetragius on the Moon is named after him.
